Front Entrance Renovations
2017 brings exciting changes to Community Memorial Hospital!
To ensure the safety and security of our patients, visitors and staff, we will be renovating the front entrance to the hospital as well as the walkways and railings, the drop off apron (for better handicap accessibiliy) and an outdoor seating area for our patients and visitors to enjoy. The Turtle Lake Community Hospital Association (TLCHA) is spearheading the project, securing grants and donations to complete the project during the summer of 2017.
TLCHA owns the hospital building and is responsible for maintainence and improvements of the facility. In order to continue this work, TLCHA has regular fundraisers throughout the year, including a food booth at Turtle Days (in July) and a food booth at the Dakota Feeder Calf Show (in October).
This year will also include a fundraiser specifically for the renovation with a Taco Bar and Bingo for the whole family
on June 11, 2017 at the American Legion in Turtle Lake fron 12:30 - 3pm.
If you would like to donate to this project, please send a check or money order to TLCHA, PO Box 280, Turtle Lake, ND 58575.

CT Comes to Community Memorial!
Community Memorial Hospital is excited to announce the news that an in-house Computed Tomography (CT) Scanner has been added to the list of services that Community Memorial provides to our patients. Previously, our CT services were delivered by a Mobile unit that was available to us 1 day a week.
July 2013 saw the installation of our own CT Scanner, housed in the lower level of the hospital itself, which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As such, we have hired 2 Radiology Technicians, who are available and on call at all times, eliminating the need to either delay a CT or be transported to another facility to receive a scan.
Avera e-Emergency
Emergency Room care is a huge responsibility, one that Community Memorial Hospital takes very seriously. As such, we are always looking for ways of providing the superior service that our community and patients expect and deserve.
Enter Avera e-Emergency.
Avera e-Emergency is a new way to provide improved quality care for rural hospitals. At the push of a button, e-Emergency allows a physician from miles away assist the medical staff in the treatment of a patient with any level of care needed. Both of our emergency rooms have recently been equipped with a video conferencing system, including cameras and microphones, that is transmitted over a secure network. When initiated, the camera turns to face the patient and the
e-Emergency staff introduces themselves. When the camera is off, it is turned toward the wall, or away from the patient. All Protected Health Information (PHI) is not released to anyone other than those involved in patient care and no recordings are ever made from the cameras or microphones. E-Emergency provides support as needed while allowing the local providers to continue to make all final decisions.
Community Memorial wants to provide the best care for our patients and we feel that the e-Emergency system only enhances the quality care we already provide. With NO charge to the patient, CMH subscribes to this service with a monthly flat fee that does not change based on the usage. So, although we would rather not see you in the Emergency Room, you can rest assured that if we do, we will provide you with the best possible care anywhere!
